Description
FR-AMPS is an eco-friendly, non-halogen flame retardant that is compatible with polymer substrates and has excellent flame retardant performance.
FR-AMPS is a new generation of non-halogen and eco-friendly flame retardant that offers several advantages. It has a low dosage to achieve UL94 V0 at 1.6mm and has higher thermal stability than traditional halogen-free flame retardants. The product has better appearance and physical properties, and its pure white color makes it suitable for coloring and a broader range of applications. FR-AMPS does not have issues with precipitation, migration, moisture resurgence, or water slip, and its superior flowability reduces in-mould deposits. It is also in compliance with EU RoHS, REACH, and other regulatory requirements. FR-AMPS has excellent flame retardancy and good compatibility with polymer substrates. It does not contain red phosphorus, avoiding the generation of acidoids, and multiple color schemes can be achieved.
Typical Properties
Physical Properties | Unit | Target Value |
Density | g/cm3 | 1.40 |
Water/Moisture | % | 0.2 |
Decomposition Temperature | ℃ | 350 |
Average Particle Size (D50) | μm | 30 |
Usage
Ø In polyamide 66 (with glass fibre reinforced and unreinforced) family of engineering plastics:
Typically, a dosage of 13% FR-AMPS is sufficient for electrical compounds to achieve the UL 94 V-0 classification at a thickness of 1.6mm.
Ø In glass fibre reinforced polyamide 6:
To achieve the UL 94 V-0 classification at a thickness of 1.6mm for electrical compounds, a typical dosage of 14% FR-AMPS is usually sufficient.
Ø For customers with requirements of the glow wire ignition temperature (GWIT):
The PA added with FR-AMPS can pass the GWIT 775℃ test for all thicknesses ranging from 0.75mm to 3mm.
FR-AMPS has a low density and can help compounds achieve a CTI of 600V. To obtain the UL 94 V-0 classification or pass the GWFI 960°C evaluation, the required amount of FR-AMPS is much lower than other flame retardants. This results in a lower compound density and well-maintained mechanical properties of the compounds.
Packaging & Storage
Paper-plastic composite packaging. 25 kg per package.
The product must be sealed, kept dry, dust-free, and cool.
