Description
FR-HY50 is a high-efficiency phosphorus-nitrogen flame retardant without halogen and red phosphorus, which is designed for epoxy resin and acrylic coating, as its excellent Gas-solid two-phase flow flame retardant properties.
Advantages
Excellent resin compatibility.
FR-HY50 can quickly generate an expanded carbon layer during combustion, a barrier to oxygen and heat.
Typical Properties
Physical Properties | Unit | Target Value |
Water/Moisture | % | 0.3 |
Decomposition Temperature | ℃ | 280 |
Average Particle Size (D50) | μm | 15 |
Usage
Ø In water and oil-based epoxy and acrylic coatings:
FR-HY50 can be well dispersed to make the resin emulsion exhibit good flame retardancy. FR-HY50 exhibits better flame retardancy when combined with other flame retardants, which is currently a good choice for epoxy and acrylic coating.
Ø In epoxy or acrylic emulsions:
The approximately 15% FR-HY50 dose is typically sufficient to obtain the UL 94 V-0 classification.
Ø Attention:
Aluminum hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, and other metal hydroxides may adversely affect the flame-retardant system, while kaolin, silica fume, and wollastonite have relatively less effect.
Packaging & Storage
Packaged in a paper-plastic composite bag. 25 kg per package.
The product must be sealed, kept dry, dust-free, and cool.
