Description
FR-CFA is a new type of carbon donor that serves as an excellent alternative to traditional carbon donors such as pentaerythritol, dipentaerythritol, tripentaerythritol, and pentaerythritol phosphate. When combined with other additives to form a new intumescent flame retardant (IFR), FR-CFA effectively addresses the disadvantages of conventional IFRs.
FR-CFA meets RoHS and REACH EU requirements.
FR-CFA has several advantages as a flame retardant. It is highly efficient in providing flame retardancy, meaning that it can effectively slow or stop the spread of flames. Additionally, FR-CFA has high thermal stability, allowing it to maintain its effectiveness even at high temperatures. It also has high water resistance and is not prone to migration, ensuring that it remains effective over time. These properties make FR-CFA a reliable and effective flame retardant for use in a variety of applications.
Typical Properties
Physical Properties | Unit | Target Value |
Nitrogen Content | % | 40 |
Water/Moisture | % | 0.2 |
Decomposition Temperature | ℃ | 280 |
Average Particle Size (D50) | μm | 15 |
Usage
Ø In combination with aid donors like APP:
A good flame retardant effect can be achieved. An effective flame retardant result can be obtained.
Ø In combination with inorganic compounds like aluminum hypophosphite and silicon dioxide:
A synergistic effect can be achieved.
Ø Attention:
The use of inorganic fillers such as calcium carbonate, carbon black, talcum powder, barium sulfate, and magnesium hydroxide can have a negative impact on the performance of flame retardants.
Ø Recommendations:
If you need to adjust the color of the product, it is recommended to add an appropriate amount of azo color powder. The amount added should be the minimum necessary to achieve the desired color. Anti-dripping agents can help prevent melting and dripping during the flame retardant process, but the amount required may vary depending on the brand. It is recommended to test and determine the appropriate amount for your specific needs.
Packaging & Storage
Paper-plastic composite packaging. 25 kg per package.
The product must be sealed, kept dry, dust-free, and cool.
After long-term storage, FR-CFA should be dried at 90-110°C for 2-4 hours before using it.
