Description
FB-PP500H is a type of masterbatch that contains bromine, phosphorus, and nitrogen. It is flame retardant and is carried in a PP resin.
FB-PP500H has several advantages as a flame retardant masterbatch. It is environmentally and eco-friendly, with a low bromine content. Additionally, since it doesn’t require the addition of antimony trioxide, it is less expensive than the commonly used bromine-antimony system. FB-PP500H also complies with RoHS, REACH, PAHS, and other regulatory requirements.
Typical Properties
Physical Properties | Unit | Target Value |
Appearance | White Granules | |
Water/Moisture | % | 0.2 |
Flame Retardant Content | % | 50 |
Decomposition Temperature | ℃ | 270 |
Usage
FB-PP500H is suitable for use in copolymer and homopolymer PP and PP filler systems that use talc or barium sulfate. However, it is not compatible with calcium carbonate filling systems.
Ø In PP homopolymer:
To achieve a UL 94 V-2 classification for electrical compounds with thicknesses ranging from 0.8mm to 3.2mm, a typical dosage of 2% to 3% FB-PP500H is sufficient. This also allows the compound to pass the GWFI 960°C test and meet the GWIT 775℃ requirement for the glow wire.
Ø In PP copolymer:
To achieve a UL 94 V-2 classification for electrical compounds with thicknesses ranging from 0.8mm to 3.2mm, a typical dosage of 4% to 10% FB-PP500H is sufficient. This also allows the compound to pass the GWFI 960°C test and meet the GWIT 775℃ requirement for the glow wire.
Ø To meet the RoHS, REACH, PAHS and other regulatory requirements:
If the dosage of FB-PP500H is kept below 10%, the bromine content will be less than 900PPM. This allows the modified PP material to meet halogen-free requirements.
Packaging & Storage
Packaged in woven bags with a plastic liner. 25 kg per package.
The product is transported as non-toxic and non-hazardous goods.
The product must be kept dry and away from moisture.
