FB-PP300H is a type of masterbatch that contains bromine, phosphorus, and nitrogen. It is a kind of flame retardant masterbatch that is carried in PP resin.
FB-PP300H has several advantages as a flame retardant masterbatch. It is environmentally and eco-friendly, with a low bromine content. Additionally, since it doesn't require the addition of antimony trioxide, it is less expensive than the commonly used bromine-antimony system. FB-PP300H also complies with EU RoHS, REACH, PAHS, and other regulatory requirements.
Typical Properties
- FB-PP300H appears as white pellets.
- Its water or moisture content is targeted to be 0.2%.
- The flame retardant content is targeted to be 30%.
- The decomposition temperature of FB-PP300H is 270℃.
Usage
FB-PP300H is suitable for use in copolymer and homopolymer PP, as well as PP filler systems that use talc or barium sulfate. However, it is not compatible with calcium carbonate filling systems.
Ø In PP homopolymer and PP copolymer:
To achieve a UL 94 V-2 classification for electrical compounds with thicknesses ranging from 0.8mm to 3.2mm, a typical dosage of 3% to 8% is sufficient. This also allows the compound to pass the GWFI 960°C test.
Ø To meet the RoHS, REACH, PAHS and other regulatory requirements:
If the dosage of FB-PP300H is kept below 5%, the bromine content will be less than 900PPM. This allows the modified PP material to meet halogen-free requirements.
