Description
FR-AMP is a new type of flame retardant that is based on phosphorus and nitrogen. It has great flame retardant properties and is compatible with polymer substrates. Unlike red phosphorus, FR-AMP does not produce acidoids after absorbing moisture, which can have negative effects. With multiple color options available, FR-AMP can be used in a variety of modified flame retardant materials.
FR-AMP offers several advantages. It provides excellent flame retardancy and is compatible with polymer substrates. Unlike red phosphorus, FR-AMP does not produce acidoids after absorbing moisture, which can have negative effects. Additionally, multiple color options are available, allowing for a wider range of applications in modified flame retardant materials.
Typical Properties
Physical Properties | Unit | Target Value |
Density | g/cm3 | 1.40 |
Water/Moisture | % (w/w) | 0.2 |
Decomposition Temperature (at 2% weight loss) | ℃ | 350 |
Average Particle Size (D50) | μm | 25 |
Usage
Ø In polyamide 66 (with glass fibre reinforced and unreinforced) series engineering plastics:
To achieve a UL 94 V-0 rating for electrical compounds at a thickness of 0.8mm, a typical dosage of 18% FR-AMP is usually enough.
Ø For the requirements of CTI / GWIT / GWFI:
The compound's Comparative Tracking Index (CTI) can reach 575V. To achieve a UL 94 V-0 rating or meet the requirements for GWFI 960°C and GWIT 750°C, the required dosage of FR-AMP is much lower than other flame retardants. This results in a lower density for the compounds and helps maintain their mechanical properties.
Packaging & Storage
Paper-plastic composite packaging. 20 kg per package.
The product must be sealed, kept dry, dust-free, and cool.
