Description
FR-AMP01 is an organic flame retardant based on hypophosphite that contains phosphorus and nitrogen. It has an excellent condensed phase and does not contain red phosphorus, which can produce acidoids after absorbing moisture. With multiple color options available, FR-AMP01 can be used in a variety of modified flame retardant materials.
FR-AMP offers several advantages as a flame retardant. It provides excellent flame retardancy in polyester and is compatible with resin. Additionally, it offers a solution to the common problem of brittleness in polyester flame retardant compounds. Furthermore, no PH3 is produced during the manufacturing process.
Typical Properties
Physical Properties | Unit | Target Value |
Density | g/cm3 | 1.3 |
Water/Moisture | % | 0.2 |
Decomposition Temperature | ℃ | 310 |
Average Particle Size (D50) | μm | 30 |
Usage
Ø In 30% glass fibre PBT:
To achieve a UL 94 V-0 rating for electrical compounds at a thickness of 0.8mm, a typical dosage of 18% FR-AMP01 is usually enough. Compared to conventional flame retardants, the impact strength has increased by 10% to 20%.
Ø For the requirements of CTI / GWIT / GWFI:
The compound's Comparative Tracking Index (CTI) can reach 575V. To achieve a UL 94 V-0 rating or meet the requirements for GWFI 960°C and GWIT 750°C, the required dosage of FR-AMP01 is much lower than other flame retardants. This results in a lower density for the compounds and helps maintain their mechanical properties.
Packaging & Storage
Paper-plastic composite packaging. 20 kg per package.
The product must be sealed, kept dry, dust-free, and cool.
