Description
FB-PP500H is a type of masterbatch that contains bromine, phosphorus, and nitrogen. It is flame retardant and is carried in a PP resin.
Advantages
Environmental- and eco-friendly.
Low bromine Content.
A lower cost than the current commonly used bromine-antimony flame retardant system, since it is unnecessary to add antimony trioxide.
Comply with RoHS, REACH, PAHS, and other regulatory requirements.
Typical Properties
Physical Properties | Unit | Target Value |
Appearance | White Granules | |
Water/Moisture | % | 0.2 |
Flame Retardant Content | % | 50 |
Decomposition Temperature | ℃ | 270 |
Usage
FB-PP500H can be used for copolymer and homopolymer PP as well as in PP filler systems, such as talc and barium sulfate filling. FB-PP500H cannot be used in a calcium carbonate filling system.
Ø In PP homopolymer:
For the electrical compounds to obtain the UL 94 V-2 classification from 0.8mm to 3.2mm thicknesses, a dose of 2% to 3% FB-PP500H is typically sufficient. The GWFI 960°C test and GWIT 775℃ can be passed.
Ø In PP copolymer:
For the electrical compounds to obtain the UL 94 V-2 classification from 0.8mm to 3.2mm thicknesses, a dose of 4% to 10% FB-PP500H is typically sufficient. The GWFI 960°C test and GWIT 775℃ can be passed.
Ø To meet the RoHS, REACH, PAHS and other regulatory requirements:
When the dose of FB-PP500H is less than 10%, the bromine content is less than 900PPM, so that the modified PP material can meet the halogen-free requirements.
Packaging & Storage
Packaged in woven bags with a plastic liner. 25 kg per package.
The product is transported as non-toxic and non-hazardous goods.
The product must be kept dry and away from moisture.
