Description
FR-413 is a high molecular diphenyl sulfone sulfonate, widely used in polycarbonate's (PC) flame retardance.
Advantages
Little impact on the transparency, physical and mechanical properties of the material.
Excellent thermal stability.
It would not corrode mold equipment.
Environmental- and eco-friendly.
Bromine-, chlorine-, and phosphorus-free.
Typical Properties
Physical Properties | Unit | Target Value |
Appearance | White Powder | |
Volatile Content | % | 1 |
Decomposition Temperature | ℃ | 400 |
Usage
Ø In polycarbonate (PC):
A dose of 0.2% to 0.5% FR-413 is typically sufficient for the compounds to obtain the UL 94 V-0 classification at 1.6mm thickness, and the compounds’ transmittance can be greater than 90%. At the same time, FR-413 has synergistic effects with silicon flame retardants and organic phosphate flame retardants to a certain extent.
Attention
Once opened, the product can easily absorb moisture, therefore, it must be stored in a dry place.
A dispersant may need to be added during use for even dispersion as a pretreatment.
Packaging & Storage
20 kg per package.
The product must be stored in a cool, dry place to avoid moisture.
