Description
FR-CFA, as a new type of carbon donor, is an excellent alternative to traditional carbon donors, such as pentaerythritol, dipentaerythritol, tripentaerythritol, and pentaerythritol phosphate. The new intumescent flame retardant (IFR) formed by FR-CFA and other additives effectively solves conventional IFR's disadvantages.
FR-CFA meets RoHS and REACH EU standards.
Advantages
High flame retardancy efficiency.
High thermal stability.
High water resistance.
Not easy to migrate.
Typical Properties
Physical Properties | Unit | Target Value |
Nitrogen Content | % | 40 |
Water/Moisture | % | 0.2 |
Decomposition Temperature | ℃ | 280 |
Average Particle Size (D50) | μm | 15 |
Usage
Ø In combination with aid donors like APP:
A good flame retardant effect can be achieved.
Ø In combination with inorganic compounds like aluminum hypophosphite and silicon dioxide:
There is a synergistic effect.
Ø Attention:
Inorganic fillers, such as calcium carbonate, carbon black, talcum powder, barium sulfate, and magnesium hydroxide, will reduce flame retardant performance.
Ø Recommendations:
Suppose the product needs to adjust the color. In that case, it is recommended to add appropriate azo color powder, and the amount added should be the minimum required to achieve the desired color.
Anti-dripping agents can inhibit melting and dripping in the flame retardant working process, but the added amount may vary from brand to brand, so please test and determine.
Packaging & Storage
Paper-plastic composite packaging. 25 kg per package.
The product must be sealed, kept dry, dust-free, and cool.
After long-term storage, FR-CFA should be dried at 90-110°C for 2-4 hours before using it.
