Description
FR-MC10S is a modified, high-efficiency, halogen-free, and environmentally friendly flame retardant for polyamide/nylon that meets the UL 94 V-0 standard. It is different from traditional melamine cyanurate (MCA) flame retardants.
FR-MC10S offers several advantages. It has excellent compatibility with resins and good hydrophobicity, which helps to maintain the mechanical and electrical properties of the resin. The flame retardancy of the system does not decrease over time, and it has outstanding spumific compound characteristics. Compared to conventional MCA flame retardants, MC10S has higher flame retardancy efficiency, which can significantly alleviate problems such as sticking to molds and exudation.
Typical Properties
Physical Properties | Unit | Target Value |
Water/Moisture | % | 0.2 |
Decomposition Temperature | ℃ | 310 |
Average Particle Size (D50) | μm | 2 |
Usage
Ø In PA 6/66 without glass fiber:
Typically, a 12 to 15% dose of MC10S is enough for electrical compounds to achieve the UL 94 V-0 classification at thicknesses of 1.6 and 0.8. The material has a small amount of dripping that does not ignite degreased cotton, and the mechanical properties of the flame-retardant material can be improved.
Ø As a spumific compound:
Use in other plastics, epoxy resins, rubber fields, etc.
Cautious
When using FR-MC10S, it is important to avoid lubricants and other additives that can cause screw slippage and a decrease in shear. This can result in poor dispersion and a decline in flame retardancy.
Packaging & Storage
Paper-plastic composite packaging. 20 kg per package.
The product must be sealed, kept dry, dust-free, and cool.
