Description
FR-AMP, a new kind of phosphorus-nitrogen based flame retardant, has excellent flame retardant performance and good compatibility with polymer substrates. FR-AMP does not have red phosphorus, therefore avoiding the adverse effects of acidoids generated after red phosphorus's moisture absorption. Multiple color schemes can be achieved to ensure a wider range of applications in modified flame retardant materials.
Advantages
Excellent flame retardancy.
Good compatibility with polymer substrates.
Without red phosphorus, and avoid the generation of acidoids.
Multiple color schemes can be achieved.
Typical Properties
Physical Properties | Unit | Target Value |
Density | g/cm3 | 1.40 |
Water/Moisture | % (w/w) | 0.2 |
Decomposition Temperature (at 2% weight loss) | ℃ | 350 |
Average Particle Size (D50) | μm | 25 |
Usage
Ø In polyamide 66 (with glass fibre reinforced and unreinforced) series engineering plastics:
For the electrical compounds to obtain the UL 94 V-0 classification at 0.8mm thickness, a dose of 18% FR-AMP is typically sufficient.
Ø For the requirements of CTI / GWIT / GWFI:
The compound's CTI can reach 575V. The required FR-AMP dose is much lower than other flame retardants for the compounds to obtain the UL 94 V-0 classification or to meet the GWFI 960°C and GWIT 750°C requirements. As a result, the density of the compounds remains low, and the mechanical properties of the compounds are kept well.
Packaging & Storage
Paper-plastic composite packaging. 20 kg per package.
The product must be sealed, kept dry, dust-free, and cool.
