When incorporated into water-based acrylic coatings, FR-B508 achieves uniform dispersion. A dosage of 8% to 10% of FR-B508 is generally adequate to impart effective flame retardancy to the acrylic emulsion. When combined with other flame retardants used in acrylic coatings, it not only boosts flame resistance but also mitigates potential drawbacks such as moisture retention and tackiness associated with alternative flame retardants, rendering it an ideal choice for acrylic coating applications.
