FR-ZDP is a type of flame retardant that comes in the form of a white powder and is based on organic zinc phosphinate. This flame retardant has the advantage of melting at high temperatures, which is helpful during the blending process with polymers to prevent clogging of the spinnerets. FR-ZDP is specifically designed for meeting halogen-free flame retardancy requirements in PET fiber fabrics and PET film systems.

In permanent flame-retardant polyester products:
FR-ZDP is ideal for the production of polyester chips, filaments, staple fibers, and films. The resulting flame-retardant polyester chips exhibit good color, spinnability, fiber strength, and dyeability. FR-ZDP is highly effective in providing flame retardancy, especially for polyester materials used in injection molding and fiber applications.
PET:
By adding just 3% of FR-ZDP, the limiting oxygen index (LOI) of the flame retardant PET compound can increase by more than 30%.
PBT:
Additionally, by incorporating 10% to 15% of FR-ZDP along with nitrogen-based flame retardants like melamine polyphosphate (MPP) and melamine cyanurate (MCA), it is possible to achieve the UL 94 V-0 classification at thicknesses of 1.6mm and 0.8mm for electrical compounds.
PACKAGING & STORAGE
Packaged in a paper-plastic composite bag and lined with a plastic bag. 25 kg per package.
The product must be sealed, kept dry, dust-free, and cool.
