FR-ADP03 is a flame retardant specifically formulated for large-scale applications, utilizing an organic aluminum phosphinate base. It finds its primary application in engineering plastics such as PA, PBT, PET – catering to both glass fibre reinforced and non-reinforced versions.
A distinctive feature of FR-ADP03 lies in its particle size engineering, which minimizes flame retardant breakdown during polymer granulation due to shear forces. This preservation mechanism upholds the integrity of material properties and ensures color stability in polymers.
Tailored for polyamide and high-temperature polyamide applications, FR-ADP03 enhances the physical and electrical performance of flame-retarded, glass fibre reinforced polyamides and their high-temperature counterparts. Its efficacy is further amplified when paired with nitrogen-based flame retardants, exhibiting a synergistic effect.

In High-Temperature Polyamides
To achieve UL 94 V-0 flame retardancy at thicknesses of 1.6 mm and 0.8 mm, a recommended dosage of 15% to 16% FR-ADP03 is generally adequate.
Glass Fibre Reinforced PA6 and PA66 Compounds
For a 0.8 mm UL 94 V-0 rating, a combination of 12% FR-ADP03 with 6% of a nitrogen-based flame retardant is typically effective.
Glass Fibre Reinforced PBT
To attain UL 94 V-0 classification at 1.6 mm thickness, a mix of 10% FR-ADP03 with 5% of a nitrogen-based flame retardant is generally sufficient. Adjustments to the flame retardant dosage may be necessary based on specific formulations and processing conditions.
Packaged in a paper-plastic composite bag and lined with a plastic bag. 25 kg per package.
The product must be sealed, kept dry, dust-free, and cool.
