FR-AMP01 is a natural flame retardant made from hypophosphite that excels in preventing fires. Unlike other flame retardants, FR-AMP01 does not contain red phosphorus, which can cause issues when exposed to moisture. To achieve a UL 94 V-0 rating at 0.8mm thickness for electrical compounds, typically 18% FR-AMP01 is needed. This results in a 10% to 20% increase in impact strength compared to traditional flame retardants.
For CTI / GWIT / GWFI requirements:
The compound's CTI can reach 575V with a lower dose of FR-AMP01 compared to other flame retardants to achieve a UL 94 V-0 rating or meet GWFI 960°C and GWIT 750°C standards. This keeps the compound's density low while maintaining mechanical properties of the compounds.
